One of the most common ones that we have already mentioned is to wash your face twice a day. However, we did not tell you the reason as to why washing your face is important.

Well, washing your face is one of the easy ways of preventing acne breakouts. This is because grime and grease often build up on the face as you go through your daily activities. Also, air pollution such as industrial smoke, dust and other micro organic materials often end up on your face. As a result, it is easier for bacteria to penetrate into the follicles should there be a skin rupture on your face thereby triggering acnes. Therefore, it would be advisable to wash your face thoroughly to reduce such risks.

However, we don’t mean that you should start washing your face anytime you pass near running water! Not at all! As a matter of fact, twice a day is just enough to eliminate the risk. It is advisable to wash your face when you wake up early in the morning and when you go to sleep at the end of the day. When washing your face, ensure that you use a clean piece of washcloth, warm water and a non oily cleanser. As such, you will be effectively getting rid of dirt, dead skin cells, bacteria and dust. As well as washing your face with water, there are also massive benefits to drinking water for acne treatment.

Stress and acne are linked, so performing simple exercises such as yoga will ensure that your body is able to sweat and relieve it off stress. The reason as to why you should relieve stress through exercising is that stress in itself causes hormonal imbalances in the body and therefore provides a fertile ground for the development of acne infections.

What you should also know is that stress causes the skin to hold back its oil and distribute it irregularly and therefore causing clogging that in turn, leads to acne formation. It is for this reasons that a person is often encouraged to engage in stress reducing activities such as exercises, relaxation and sleep. Exercising not only reduces your stress levels but also ensures that the pores of your skin are cleared off impurities through sweating.

As a result, any form of dead skin cells that may cause clogging in the follicles are brought to the surface of the skin and cleared. Therefore, ensure that you exercise at least once a week if your desire is to prevent acne infection.
