Naturopath Mim Beim shares some natural ways to treat and avoid this skin nuisance.

Herbs used to treat acne include echinacea, calendula and burdock. These exert an antibiotic effect, as well as improving lymphatic drainage, supporting the immune system and helping to purify the bloodstream and skin.

Although these herbs are all available in tablet and tincture form, making a herbal tea from one or a combination of them is a terrific treatment. You can add flavours including peppermint, ginger or licorice root to make it more palatable. One to three cups daily is sufficient. This tea, cooled, also makes a good face wash or toner.

  1. I usually do not create many responses, however i did some searching and wound up here How To Get Rid Of Adult Acne. And I do have a couple of questions for you if you tend not to mind. Could it be only me or does it seem like a few of the responses appear like written by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are writing on additional online social sites, I’d like to keep up with everything fresh you have to post. Could you list of every one of all your public sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

  2. Interesting article you have done here. It’s great that you are providing natural treatments and remedies for acne suffers. Unfortunately many people just rely on what their doctors give them and that can often trigger even worse outbreaks. I’ve been able to help a lot of people by getting them to adjust their diet.

Hi Scott, thanks for visiting the site!

I am interested to hear and I am sure other readers would be interested to know what diet adjustments you have found that helps to get rid of acne conditions?

Although we do cover this, it is always good to hear others share their own experiences, on what they have found to work either personally or as a skin specialist.
